Who we are

Corowa District Landcare is a community not-for-profit incorporated Landcare group who have been active throughout the Federation Council region since 1996. We work with our community to carry out natural resource management and agriculture activities to improve the health and sustainability of our environment, farms and wider community.

Corowa District Landcare is made up of a diverse group of volunteers, staff members and partners. Our broad range of members reflects the diversity of our community, which includes: farmers, urban residents, school and other Landcare groups across the Region. Find out more →

What we do

Corowa District Landcare’s vision is to connect people to thriving landscapes. Our mission is to empower our community to care for the local environment by providing opportunities and creating action. We strive to help raise awareness and educate the local community about sustainable agriculture and natural resources.

Our work addresses natural resource management and agricultural issues, including climate change, soil degradation, native vegetation loss, pests and weeds, threatened species, and pasture and livestock health. Find out more →

Junior Landcare Program

Our Junior Landcare Program has run outdoor workshops for playgroup, preschool and primary school groups. Our Junior Landcare program delivered a powerful message to our future generation about stewardship, respect for the land and sustainability. Find out more…

Sheep Producer Group

Our Sheep Producer Group has involved multiple workshops around sheep health, lamb mortality, data collection and analysis, and pasture management, among other issues. We also run an Annual Sheep Producers Information Evening. Find out more…


We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we conduct Landcare activities and pay our respect to Elders past, present and future. We appreciate their deep connection to country and their long history of sustainable land management.
